Celebrate The Setai’s Fifth Anniversary with New Menu Items at The Restaurant
by Sherri Balefsky

The pristine Asian-inspired décor, the prime oceanfront location, the peaceful setting in the heart of trendy South Beach, the staff’s brilliant attention to detail…it’s no wonder that The Setai, South Beach is one of the world’s most desirable luxury hotels. This summer, in honor of its fifth anniversary, The Restaurant at The Setai is giving us even more to be impressed by.

To start off, The Restaurant’s award-winning chef Jonathan Wright has launched a newly crafted menu that combines fresh, local ingredients with Asian-inspired recipes to create truly delectable and authentic cuisine. Some of the highlights include the crispy Peking duck and the whole dungeness black pepper crab. The open kitchen theater allows diners to watch in amazement as each dish is intricately prepared by the team of expert chefs from all over the world.

Guests can also choose to order the chef’s weekly three-course “Summer at The Setai” pre-fix menu, which allows them to select from three specialty appetizers, entrees and desserts. In addition, The Restaurant will offer “Bottleshock,” a hand-selected wine list by The Setai’s sommelier Dwayne Savoie featuring more than 60 fine wines from all over the world at a 40 percent discount.

Other special summer events include:

Balinese Hour: Relish in enchanting music with performances by two Balinese Gamelan players while sipping on specialty Asian-inspired cocktails from the summer cocktail menu and enjoying complimentary Satay.
At the Bar & Courtyard, Fridays through Sundays, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning July 16.

Flavors of India: Feast on a delicious four-course meal featuring authentic Indian cuisine from an expert Indian chef.
At The Restaurant, Wednesdays, 7 to 11 p.m. beginning Aug. 4.

Thursday Night Jazz: Get ready for an evening of live jazz performances featuring local and visiting musicians and singers. Specials on Taittinger Champagne will be offered in addition to the special summer cocktail menu.
At the Bar & Courtyard, Thursday evenings beginning Aug. 5.

Dim Sum and Champagne Fridays: Select from an exclusive eight-plate dim sum menu, hosted by a master dim sum chef. Guests can also choose from an extended tasting menu and wine parings.
At The Restaurant, Fridays, 7 p.m. to midnight beginning Aug. 13.
