Watching the World Cup in Style
While mainstream Americans may love the idea of spending a Sunday afternoon in a dimly-lit sports bar, surrounded by the aromas of draught beer and chicken wings, we know that our readers may relish in something a bit more upscale.
Thank goodness The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami is here to save the day for World Cup soccer fans of South Florida. The luxury hotel will transform its Amadeus Bar into a World Cup Lounge, from June 11 to July 11, 2010 so that luxury lovers can enjoy the 2010 FIFA World Cup in the style to which they have become accustomed.
It’s not just the plush surroundings that will have elite guests soaking up the pleasures of living in luxe. The menu offerings are designed to satisfy cravings from any country. Breakfast will be available during the morning matches, while tapas-style bits and bites will satiate those taking in some of the games later in the day. When thirst begins to get the better of you, Amadeus Bar has more than 30 international beers available for fans, who, as the hotel puts it, “literally want to drink in local flavor.”
