Billionaire Italian Couture Boutique Opens in Dubai Mall

Billionaire Italian Couture, a high-end fashion brand only for men just opened its first boutique in Dubai. Founded Italian media and sports tycoon Flavio Briatore, the brand has designed tailor-made clothes for the elite since its establishment in 2005. Both Briatore and the brand’s UAE business partner, Mohi-din BinHendi, president of BinHendi Enterprises were present at the in-store launch.

Billionaire clothes are eccentric yet classy and cater to men who have an appreciation for such fashionable dichotomy. The new store will bring such designs into an everyday environment. The store will offer evening wear ensembles, personalized bathing robes, monogrammed socks and even slippers embroidered with personalized astrological signs.

“Billionaire couture already has a dedicated following among clientele who favor tailored elegance with a touch of whimsy, with celebrities such as David Beckman and Paul McCartney among its fans, ” said Mr. BinHendi. The brand serves as the latest addition to the prestigious portfolio of luxury brands which make up the fashion division of BinHendi.

Now just around the corner, this revolution in menswear is sure to be a favorite among Dubai’s locals and expatriates.

Bikram Yoga Summerlin

Bikram will make you sweat. Owner Stephanie Dixon opened the 3,200-square-foot Bikram Yoga Summerlin studio a year ago and dedicates every class to the discipline. Bikram consists of 26 postures and two breathing exercises. The classes last 90 minutes and take place in a studio heated to 110 degrees Fahrenheit and pumped in with 40 percent humidity. Both help tendons, ligaments and muscles become more flexible. The studio offers at least six classes a day.

Louis Vuitton New Bond Street Maison Opened in London

Marc Jacobs invited numerous celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Elle MacPherson, and Daisy Lowe; to come celebrate his new flagship boutique for Louis Vuitton located on New Bond Street Maison in London, as well as to model his Autumn 2010 collection. The boutique boasts three stories and was designed by Peter Marino; it could be considered the most luxurious Louis Vuitton store worldwide.

Along with lavish decor and spaciousness, mannequins with handbags adorned on their heads are posted throughout the store, which offers a unique combination of clothing choices, as well as a Bag Bar, where customers can sit, while they peruse the selection of handbags.

The elaborate design doesn’t end there because the store also combines sleek wood finishing with a glass staircase accented with LEDs. Customers can also look up and see an assortment of classic Vuitton trunks floating in the air, suspended by wire cables. Although the store officially opens May 28, attendees enjoyed an exciting evening that only a host like Marc Jacobs could offer.

Ann and Gordon Getty Host Dinner Benefit for UCSF

As always, Ann and Gordon Getty opened the doors to their beautiful home for another elegant evening filled with charity on May 13. This time guests gathered in support of UCSF’s Pediatric Epilepsy Center, where they enjoyed the “cult wine” fundraising dinner.

Those in attendance included Event Chairs Rich and Tanya Peterson as well as Susan Axelrod, wife of President Obama’s chief political strategist David Axelrod and founder of C.U.R.E., a national non-profit to support children suffering with epilepsy. Susan Axelrod also served as the evening’s keynote speaker and all together the dinner raised close to $20,000 for UCSF and their initiatives.

On May 25, recording artist Janelle Monae thrilled audience members with an exclusive live performance presented on the rooftop of the W Hollywood; the show was part of the W Hotel’s Symmetry Live music series.

W Hotels Global Music Director Michaelangelo L’Acqua served as host for the festivities, while celebrities such as Kelly Osbourne, Jessica Lowndes, Taryn Manning, Bonnie Sommerville, Kelly Monaco, Elise Neal, Susie Castillo, James Frain, and more, were seen bopping their heads to the lively performance.

Following the show, an exclusive group of guests were treated to a VIP dinner held at one of the penthouse residence suites, where they sipped on cocktails, nibbled on appetizers, and mingled with the stars of the evening, L’Acqua and Monae.
