Dori’s World: H. Stern Hosts a Breakfast for the Bloggers
Host with the Most: H. Stern
Oh, how it pays to be a blogger these days. H. Stern is a jewelry line that I have always loved, and yesterday morning the brand held a breakfast at its Fifth Avenue boutique. Officially, Jennifer Raines, of Cohen Raines PR, explained that H. Stern wanted to break into the new media phenomenon and introduce its collection to a select group of online editors. Perhaps my favorite quote of the morning was when Jennifer said, “after all, if you’re not represented online and being blogged about, you are nowhere at all.”
Guests We Hold Dear: I met H. Stern’s newest editions CEO, Susan Nicholas and Lisa Newman Levine, director of communications. Naturally, Jennifer Raines and Liz Cohen, their ever-so-loyal publicists for the last six years, were in attendance. Sabrina Chapman, also from Haute Living was there as well, along with Diane Miller, from H. Stern’s in-house PR team, and other bloggers from sites like JustJared.com, Style.com, and Instyle.com.
Insider Information: In addition to viewing the latest collection and ogling all the beautiful baubles, we also talked about which celebrities had borrowed H. Stern jewels for the recent Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit Gala on May 3. Included in the list were Sarah Jessica Parker, Katie Perry, and Alessandra Ambrosio.
I walked out with a few spectacular pieces, such as the H. Stern moonlight earrings, which I wore last night with a Valentino dress. Tomorrow night, I’ll be pairing up H. Stern with a DVF ensemble for the Whitney event. DVF has a special collection in collaboration with H. Stern, so it is only fitting.
