Christian Dior’s Limited Edition “Blue Collection” in Shanghai

The fashion set had a well deserved break over the last month, but with Cruise shows happening all over the world and Cannes in its early stages, it looks like bags are packed and chicsters are on the road again. Whether you were lucky enough to celebrate the Chanel Cruise 2011 show in St. Tropez at the beginning of this week, or are hitting red carpet premieres in Cannes, there is always somewhere else to be.

On Saturday Christian Dior is presenting their Cruise 2011 show in Shanghai (hey, isn’t that where Chanel held their pre-fall show?). Coinciding with the catwalk is the grand reopening of Dior’s Plaza 66 boutique. So to mark the occasion, the company is launching a limited edition collection of iconic luxury goods in Dior blue. The downside? This exclusive collection will only be available in the Shanghai store.

The collection features 12 products, including a Dior mobile phone bedazzled in sapphire crystals; a Lady Dior evening bag in blue calfskin and blue sequins in the brands iconic cannage design; a Lady Dior classic handbag in blue calfskin; a Mise en Dior costume jewelry necklace in blue colored pearls; and, last but definitely not least, a graphic “Dior Lucky” scarf featuring a collage by house designer John Galliano—the scarf is emblazoned with Dior’s most famous model, Lucky.

So, we have to ask? Who is heading to Shanghai? Because we would love one of those handbags.
