What MADE Them Haute Recently honored with the Jay Malina Award for their lifetime achievements and notable contributions to the growth of the arts, entertainment, and hospitality industries in Miami-Dade County, the Estefans, in addition to being ridiculously talented crossover artists with decades-long careers, are actively involved in the betterment of our community. Their company, which was founded in Miami Beach in 1986, has grown into a global entertainment empire spanning across numerous industries.
What Makes Them Haute Now We have a lot of updates on this power couple, which you can read in the coming April/May Miami edition, which will list Miami’s Haute 100ers for 2010. But in the meantime, we can tell you that the Estefan’s haute factor was bumped up quite a few notches when it was announced today that the they will be hosting President Obama at their Star Island estate during a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee on April 15. If you want to go to the intimate cocktail reception, plan on dropping $30,400 per couple, or you could opt to head to the Adrienne Arsht Center later that same evening, where the president will stop by another fundraiser. Tickets for that range from $250 to $1,250.
