2010 Commit to Win Gala Dinner

Women In Need honored Cindi Leive, Editor-in-chief of Glamour and Brendan Hoffman, CEO of Lord & Taylor, for their commitment and contribution in supporting the organization and their initiative. Founded in 1983, Women In Need provides comprehensive programs that support homeless women and families through job training, housing, counseling, etc.

The event took place at the distinguished Waldorf-Astoria on Wednesday night, where both honorees were awarded the “Commit to Win” Award, which commemorates the determination and diligence of business leaders in offering support to the New York charity. The annual celebration raised approximately $1 million and guests included various celebrities and prestigious names.

Supermodel, Iman presented Ms. Leive with her award while Burt Tansky; CEO of Nieman Marcus presented Mr. Hoffman with his. Meredith Viera of NBC News’ Today hosted the festivities; she is a long time supporter of Women In Need. The lavish event featured an immense room filled to the brim with dinner tables and decorations, creating a truly grandiose atmosphere.
