The “Art of Cigars” Hits the Epic
Cigar lovers across the city should pencil this one into their schedules.
The Epic Hotel continues their famed art series with a little Cuban influence. “Art of Cigars” is a segment of the “Epic Wine Hour Presents: Art of” series. ”On Thursday, March 11, between 5 and 6 p.m., master cigar maker Carlos Escalona of Camacho Cigars will be on site to discuss the fine art of hand-rolled tobacco.
Camacho Cigars was established in 1961 from Cuban exile Simon Camacho, and today Camacho Cigars is one of the most recognizable companies in the industry.
The sophisticated event will take place on the 16th floor, set against the warm Miami backdrop of Area 31 on the Outside Terrace. Here, guests will enjoy a demonstration of cutting and lighting cigars, cigar sampling, and a lecture on the history of this age old tradition.
As part of new initiative for the Epic Hotel in Miami, “The Epic Wine Hour Presents” has evolved from its already popular Wine Hour Program to a series of talks and demonstrations on several art genres. The series will run from March tot he end of April. Located on the edge of the Miami River, the Epic provides an ideal location for an evening of intellectual talk inspired by excellent spirits and wines.
