Isaac Mizrahi’s New Condo
by Ebony Montenegro
What does an accomplished designer such as Isaac Mizrahi do when his Fall 2010 collection is a hit? Why buy a new home of course.
It looks like Mr. Mizrahi has purchased some new digs. The home located at 59 West 12th St. in the West Village was priced at $1.1 million. Since he already lives in the West Village, it isn’t real clear why the new place. Perhaps, it was simply time to move. And since Mizrahi won’t leave Manhattan, it would make sense that his new place is in the same area.
His new one-bedroom home was designed in 1931 by Emery Roth & Sons, and seems to be big enough for himself, his partner Arnold, and his pooch Harry. Reports indicate that his kitchen is small, but on the bright side he has walk in closets. The home also opens up to an oversized living room with a fireplace and south facing tree-lined views.
