I Spy: The Haute 5 Places to People Watch in Las Vegas
by Mericia Gonzalez

Spring is in the air and there is no better way to enjoy the weather than on an outdoor patio. That’s why this week’s Haute 5 is all about the best places in Vegas take in the great outdoors with a favorite beverage and bite.

Serendipity 3

One of the best places to people watch on the strip is at Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace. This New York transplant is one of the most popular on the Strip because of its 180-degree patio right on the street. It offers the best views of the hotels, people, and traffic while sipping on their famous frozen hot chocolates. But seating here is first come, first serve so try to secure your spot before the lunch and dinner rush.

Serendipity 3 is located at 3570 S. Las Vegas Blvd; 702.731.7266

VooDoo Steak & Lounge at the Rio

If you’re looking for more of a vista, then check out VooDoo Steak & Lounge at the Rio. This hotspot is located 55 stories up, offering, once again, spectacular views. The open outside dining area and lounge is two levels and is the biggest on the Strip. You’ll be able to experience all that this stretch of Sin City promises, along with a few picturesque mountain views thrown in for good measure.

VooDoo Steak & Lounge at the Rio is located at 3700 W. Flamingo Rd.; 702.777.7777

Todd English’s Olives

If you love the fountain show at the Bellagio then there is no better place to sit, relax with a glass of wine, and enjoy how fabulous life can be than at Todd English’s Olives. This contemporary restaurant offers an outdoor patio comparable to none other, with unobstructed views of the majestic water show that has never stopped earning buzz with visitors and locals alike.

Todd English’s Olives is located inside the Bellagio, 3600 S. Las Vegas Blvd.; 702.693.8181

Parasol Down Bar

Another great spot to enjoy the sun and cool breezes is Parasol Down Bar inside one of our favorite Sin City resorts, Wynn Las Vegas. Here you’ll be able to order a stiff drink while looking out onto “the lake of dreams.” This beautiful and tranquil spot turns into a flurry of color and music once the sun goes down. Here you’ll be able to watch a free artistic show while sipping on some of my favorite martinis.

Parasol Down Bar is located at the Wynn Las Vegas, 3131 Las Vegas Blvd. South, 702.770.7000.

Firefly Tapas Kitchen and Bar

One of the chicest hotspots off the strip is Firefly Tapas Kitchen and Bar on Paradise Road. It’s not just the tourists who flock to this spot for its delicious food and superb drinks; many of our fanciest locals call this place their second home too, as it has built a reputation as the place to see and be seen. The small outside dining area is usually packed during the warm spring months, and not just with people, as the music fills the air as well.

Firefly Tapas Kitchen and Bar is located at 3900 Paradise Rd.; 702.369.3971
