It was such an incredible hit last year that they have decided to do it again. In fact, it is now the annual event of the season that ladies who lunch plan their schedules around.
It is almost time for the Second Annual Vizcaya Preservation Luncheon. Presented by Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour, Neiman Marcus Coral Gables, and The Vizcayans, the “Hat Requested” event brings out some of the most important names in Miami’s social scene, along with their luxury brand haute hats.
Here’s an excerpt from the official announcement:
The goal of the Vizcaya Preservation Luncheon is to introduce guests to the splendor of Vizcaya’s gardens as originally intended, and raise funds to further the mission of The Vizcayans: to protect, preserve and restore the estate including the gardens. This year’s luncheon will reprise fashionable daytime events in Vizcaya’s formal Italianate gardens, which were a tradition in Vizcaya’s early years as a public museum.
Women are invited to dress elegantly including donning hats and other finery, and gentlemen are welcome to come in sub-tropical dapper dress including hats. Neiman Marcus will be providing an informal fashion presentation showcasing Spring 2010 collections from luxury brands.
The luncheon takes place on Wednesday, February 24. Guests are invited to meet at The Casino Mound for cocktails and tours of the gardens beginning at 11 a.m. Plan to spend the entire afternoon in the splendor of Vizcaya, as the luncheon will take place from 12:30 to 4 p.m.
Ticket Prices are $250. For more information and to purchase tickets, please contact The Vizcayans’ office at 305.856.4866 or www.vizcayans.org.
