NYU Buys Forbes Building for $65 Million
by Jillian Lobato

The Forbes building at 60 Fifth Avenue at 12th Street was sold to New York University for $65 million, or $530 per square foot. It was estimated that the building was being sold for $55 million before, and when Forbes announced the sale on January 7, no price was discussed. The price is 53% off the listing price when the 122,500-square-foot building initially hit the market in 2007.
