Let’s Get Physical: The Haute 5 Fitness Clubs in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is an ever-changing fantasy-land, from the world-famous strip to its ever-growing outskirts. This is a place of change, growth, and transformation. There is no better place in the world to get your fitness on than in Sin City. You can rub elbows with celebrity fitness experts or indulge in an oasis from the strip. Here are five known and un-known places that are sure to pump you up.

Canyon Ranch SpaClub
The largest and one of the most luxurious health spas, wellness, and fitness centers in Las Vegas is the Canyon Ranch SpaClub. This 134,000-square-foot facility is located inside The Venetian and The Palazzo Resorts. The state-of-the-art SpaClub features a 40-foot indoor rock-climbing wall, a pilates studio, cycling gym, Kinesis studio, men’s and women’s locker rooms, as well as relaxation lounges. The facility actually has two fitness centers, offering more than 50 pieces of cardio equipment, 15 indoor cycling bikes, strength machines, and free weights. That’s not all. They also offer exercise, lifestyle, and nutrition lectures.

Canyon Ranch SpaClub is located at 3355 Las Vegas Blvd., (702) 414-3600.

The Spa at Encore Las Vegas
Looking for a fitness Oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the strip? The Spa at Encore will take you to a place of Zen while you work out. This luxurious environment will get you moving with natural light and ample space. The fitness center features two movement studios, which offer spinning, yoga, pilates, conditioning, and meditation classes. There is also a juice bar to quench your thirst with organic fruit smoothies, unique teas, coffees, and fresh juices. And with five full time instructors available for group classes or private instruction, you can have that cake and work it off later.

The Spa at Encore Las Vegas is located at 3121 Las Vegas Blvd. South, (702) 770-4772.

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas Fitness Center
For a taste of some fitness glitz, head over to the Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas. This lakeside fitness destination is located just 17 miles from the strip inside a 32,000-square-foot spa. This spa has been ranked #7 in the United States. The fitness center has just unveiled an interactive group option with “Wellness Workshops.” Designed for groups of eight or more, the classes are designed to enhance the well-being of group participants with stress-reduction and mentoring. A unique feature is that they offer water sports through the Lake Las Vegas Marina. From canoeing, kayaking, sailboats, sailboards, and pedal boats, you can get your water sports on. They also offer hip-hop, pilates, and yoga classes.

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas Fitness Center is located at 1610 Lake Las Vegas Pkwy, Henderson, Nevada, (702) 567-4700.

Aradia Fitness Las Vegas
Meet the sexier side of fitness at the new Aradia Fitness Pole Dancing Studio inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. This exclusive Pole Dancing and Fitness Studio is made exclusively for women. Now, you can unleash that sexy, confident, and beautiful woman inside. Here, you’ll learn sexy dance moves that will shape up your butt, arms, and even get you that flat stomach you crave. There is no need to worry, though. No nudity is involved, as this is simply just a safe and fun place to get you working out those muscles. This studio is so new, that classes don’t start until February 1 in the world class Reliquary Spa, located in the brand new Hard Rock Hotel Tower. Membership and class prices include full use of the Spa for Locals (the spa price is regularly $30 per day).

Aradia Fitness Las Vegas is located at 4455 Paradise Rd., (702) 420-0406.

Strength Center Las Vegas
When celebrity and Vegas headliner, Donny Osmond needed to shape up for ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” fall season 2009, he called up personal trainer Adam Gentz to get him “competition ready.” Gentz’s philosophy is focusing on overall personal improvement through consistent conditioning, strength training, and of course, proper nutrition. Gentz isn’t just a personal trainer, though. He also owns his own facility called Strength Center Las Vegas, that is close to the strip. Gentz created a two-story, 3,500-square cutting edge training superstructure that’s been billed as “the premier fitness resort in Las Vegas.” The open-air space features several high-definition plasma TVs, a state of the art sound system, private restrooms with a shower, dry sauna, and towel service, and a kitchen stocked with refreshing beverages. This is a place that not only accommodates the city’s elite and high profile guests visiting Las Vegas, but it’s also a place to cultivate your athletic skills.
