Feast Your Eyes on the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Chrono
by Jillian Lobato

During the SIHH 2010 in Geneva, there were plenty of watches to gawk at. One of the many brands that made watch lovers gasp in awe were the watches by Vacheron Constantin. As phenomenal as these watches are, one in particular was exceptional- The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Chrono. Cased in platinum at 43mm, it is much nicer than last year’s version that was released in pink gold.

The movement in this watch is the Vacheron Calibre 1141QP, a caliber that has “set the pace of some of the most exalted wrist-chronographs in the history of watchmaking and is regarded by all experts as the most technically and stylistically accomplished of its kind because of its extraordinary complexity and incomparable architecture,” as said by Vacheron.  It is a manual wind movement, with 48-hour power reserve. One detail we have to make note of is the melancholy-looking moon that is engraved by hand on solid platinum with a black patina. Let’s not forget the black alligator wristband, shown here in black. This watch is beyond stunning, isn’t it? Although we’re not sure of its price tag, we estimate it costs around $100,000.
