Epic’s Rise from the Ashes

Even though the saying goes that any press is good press, we would beg to disagree when said press alerts the world that your hotel has been temporarily shut down due to airborne diseases. Luckily, Epic Hotel in downtown Miami was cleared of any health concerns and is reviving itself from the two-week December hiatus with dignified plans for 2010.

The boutique hotel that epitomizes everything elegant about Miami earned some well deserved ink from The New York Times on New Year’s Day in regards to their restaurant Area 31. And now, continuing on with the positive PR, they announced today the new EPIC Lawn, an epic-sized space for outdoor parties and events.

Located at the foot of the hotel alongside the EPIC Marina and Biscayne Bay, the fully-landscaped EPIC Lawn provides groups and event planners with a new, outdoor venue option centrally located in downtown Miami. Ideal for customized tented events, weddings, and team-building activities, the new EPIC Lawn can accommodate social galas of 500 or more.

Spanning 32,500 square feet, the EPIC Lawn is available for day and nighttime events; enhancing EPIC’s other venue offerings which include a style-infused ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a scenic 16th floor wrap-around pool deck. Food and beverage for EPIC Lawn events will be provided by the hotel.

Regardless of how much debt people are in or how much money they need to save, they somehow still make room in their wallets for cosmetic procedures. So it’s no wonder that worldwide spending on cosmetic surgery is between a stifling $30 billion and $40 billion a year.
