Want to get yourself on the inside track of the forthcoming SAG Awards? Well, where there’s a will, there’s a way.  What’s the third most important part of the Awards – after who actually wins and what they’re wearing? What they’ve got to tide them over during the show, of course!  In an unprecedented maneuver, you can now taste test the stars’ SAG dinners before they even get a chance to pick up their gilded forks.

Suzanne Goin, you’ll know her name from Tavern in Brentwood, has prepared the tasting menu that will be served to starving celebrities during the Awards ceremony on Saturday night.  Each plate will have small tasting portions of each of the following savory delights: slow-roasted Salmon with Cucumbers, Yogurt, and Ginger-Mint Chutney; grilled Lamb Tenderloin with Feta and Salsa Verde; Chopped Chicken Salad with Bacon and Apples; and finally Roasted Winter Vegetables with Saffron Couscous and Pomegranate Salsa.

We’re salivating already, which is why we can all consider ourselves lucky to not have been invited to the Awards.  (Kind of…) Rather than waiting until Saturday, you can pick up a picnic box filled with the same SAG-bound menu starting now.  For $25, you can decide which of the four dishes you think Mr. Clooney will prefer – you’ll also be able to tell just what Sandra Bullock’s got stuck in her teeth.  And thus, our degrees of separation are narrowed.
