Zaha Hadid’s Silver and Coffee Table Set
by Jillian Lobato

Architecture and design master Zaha Hadid not only designs superstructures and skyscrapers, but she has also lent her fluid-inspired and space-age designs to shoes, a coffee bar, and even the water tap.

Invited by Alberto Alessi, the third generation owner of Italian industrial design company Alessi, Hadid was one of 22 acclaimed designers invited to create a four-piece coffee and tea service, inspired by the brand’s famous 1983 Tea and Piazza project.

The resulting work of art is classic Zaha Hadid. Comprising a teapot, coffee pot, milk jug and sugar bowl, this innovative sculptural set could easily be mistaken as a miniature of one of her other architectural projects. “The teapot is a wide, flat organic shape, whilst the coffee pot rises from this landscape like a tower,” she explains.

Limited to 99 edition exclusively through 20ltd.com, this Zaha Hadid silver and coffee tea tower set is priced at $33,220.
