Tiger Woods Takes a Hiatus
by Alison Agudo

Super athlete, and allegedly less super husband, Tiger Woods has made an official statement regarding his status in the world of pro golf saying that he will be taking an indefinite break from professional golf.

What has the world come to? Not only has apparently squeaky-clean Tiger Woods been in a firestorm of allegations regarding infidelity, but now he is officially taking a break from one of the things he has never screwed up at: professional golf.

The statement was released by Woods on his website saying, in part, “After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person. Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.”

The statement also is the first time Woods seems to admit to his indiscretions. Tiger writes, “I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try.” Perhaps this could help?

In all seriousness, the news of Wood’s hiatus is a big blow to the golf world and for the millions around the world that looked up to the master golfer and his dedication to the game.
