Dutch model, Lara Stone, and American photographer Stephen Meisel are teaming up for the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 advertising campaign which will reflect the vibrant, optimistic mood for the Spring/Summer 2010 show.
Set to break in February 2010 in magazines worldwide, the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 advertising campaign is already heating up the cold winters as it brings together top industry talents including Dutch model, Lara Stone, and American photographer, Stephen Meisel.
The upcoming campaign will feature six striking images of Stone in a series of Bardot-esque poses with an array of standout Louis Vuitton accessories adorning her body. Items will include Mongogram canvas, Monogram denim bags, furry foxtail charms, hardware-inspired jewelry, and wooden clogs embellished with rustic tufts of fur. Artistic Director, Marc Jacobs, says, “Because the collection loosely took its cues from the idea of the New Age traveler, we decided to create a green, outdoorsy set that would evoke a spirit of peace and love.”
As one of the most successful photographers in the industry, Meisel is a protégé of Italian Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief, Franca Sozzani, and Anna Wintour of US Vogue. For Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2009 campaign, Meisel was the man behind the camera for Madonna’s shoot.
Jacob’s knew who they wanted this collections campaign girl to be from the start, and said, “To model the clothes, we wanted a modern, iconic, sexy beauty…It had to be Lara Stone.” Stone’s resume includes runway shows with Miu Miu, Karl Lagerfeld, and Givenchy, in addition to a long list of editorial features and covers in French, Italian, and British Vogue.
