So if getting your daily dose of MoMA hasn’t been enough to quench your thirst for fantastic art in an iconic museum, fear not, you can now expand your art enjoyment into the wee hours of the night (okay, not that late, but still later than usual!)
Through June, MoMA will be staying open until 8:45 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month, instead of only until 5:30 p.m. on regular Thursdays. According to MoMA’s website, over the summer in July and August, MoMA will be featuring these special late hours every Thursday night.
To kick off the start of the Thursday late nights, on January 7 the event will feature DJ AJ Slim who will spin house, rare soul, afrobeat, and fun in The Donald B and Catherine C. Marron Atrium. There will also be an 8 o’clock screening of he art documentary, My Neighbor, My Killer.
The regular $20 admission fee is required for these late night evenings. The only time entrance into the MoMA is free is on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
