Made in Italy on Madison: Launch Party for Holiday Shopping Events and Promotions
by Alison Agudo
There is little that can make a fashionista happier than the thought of combining Italian designs and Madison Avenue. On December 10 the Italian Trade Commission, with the support of Madison Avenue Business Improvement District and Hearst Magazines, kicked off Made in Italy on Madison with an invite-only cocktail party at the beautiful Morgan Library & Museum in New York City that was a huge success.
Made in Italy on Madison is an exciting two week series of consumer holiday shopping events and promotions on New York City’s iconic Madison Avenue from December 10 through December 22. The event includes 30 popular retailers who participate by hosting special holiday shopping events open to the public and celebrating the rich heritage, quality, craftsmanship, and artistry of Italian-made products.
During the launch party, Editor in Chiefs Joanna Coles of Marie Claire Magazine and David Granger of Esquire Magazine raised a glass of Italian prosecco to the launch of the highly anticipated Madison Avenue shopping event. Town & Country Editor in Chief, Pamela Fiori, was also in attendance and signed copies of her new book, “In the Spirit of Capri,” published by Assouline.
Throughout the two week event, premium wines provided by Mionetto, Rocca Sveva, Collavini, and Pertinance will be served exclusively at all Made in Italy on Madison Events. The launch party was sponsored by Grapes on the Go and Minoetto USA.
More information on the Made in Italy on Madison event can be found here, including a retailer map, calendar of events, and information on promotions.
