Holiday Walk on the Avenues – Yes, Walk…
There’s a pair of shoes at Beckley, some racy lingerie at Coco de Mer, a stress-help book from Bodhi Tree Bookstore, a dress from Alberta Ferretti, a hat from John Varvatos, and a new thread count from Anichini – you’ve been good this year, but to buy all that for yourself may be going overboard. That’s only the case if you’re buying all those things any time other than December 10 from 6 – 9pm.
In the world of holiday shopping events, this one – the Holiday Walk on the Avenues – ups the ante for others around the city. Spanning Melrose, Robertson, and Beverly Blvds, the 2nd Annual holiday shopping event features boutiques that keep their stores open after hours offering nibbles, drinks, and special discounts. Participating boutiques include Alpha Gear for Men, Soolip, Kitson Studio, Kitson Men, James Perse, and many more alongside restaurants like Cecconi’s and Lemonade. Kaffe Wien will be your hub for gift-wrapping, the Pacific Design Center is where you’ll leave your vehicle (yes, keep in mind, this is a walk), and all along the streets in question you’ll be met with lights, decorations, and music. Not that you need all that to get in the mood to shop – there’s little that’s more fun than struggling to get all your bags into the car.
