Donald Trump Buys Two Golf Courses
by Alison Agudo
Donald Trump is infamous for his savvy business deals, and the celebrity entrepreneur has just made two more that firmly secure his position as one of the leading business men of our time.
Donald Trump has just purchased two luxurious golf courses, one in South New Jersey and one in New York. The Pine Hill Golf Club in South New Jersey is a semi-public course which was designed by Tom Fazio. In true Trump fashion, the course will be renamed the Trump National Golf Club—Philadelphia. Trump plans on using his proven magic touch and tough business sense to reinvent the 10-year-old course into his own ultra exclusive, high-priced course. Despite its high-end makeover, this golf course is planned to be one of the more affordable clubs owned and managed by Trump.
The second course which Trump just purchased is the Branton Woods Golf Club in New York. Both clubs were reportedly Empire Golf Management’s least profitable courses, so having someone like Trump take them over was probably not a difficult decision. Despite losing these two courses, Empire still owns four very profitable golf courses, which they are hoping will help to make them stand apart from the other courses which have faced foreclosure over the year.
Both courses are set to receive multimillion dollar Trump makeovers—but then again, we expect no less from the Donald.
