City Landmarks Glow Red to Honor World Aids Day
by Alison Agudo

San Francisco Landmarks, Coit Tower and City Hall, will be turning red this evening when the sun goes down in honor of World AIDS Day.

If you’re in the San Francisco area this evening, December 1, check out some of the city’s landmarks that will be turning red as night falls in honor of World AIDS Day.

San Francisco is one of nine major cities in the U.S. participating in project Red, which helps to raise awareness and funds to fight the AIDS epidemic in Africa, one of the many countries most devastated by the disease. The Coit Tower and City Hall in San Francisco will both be glowing red tonight, so be sure to look for them on your way home this evening.

If you witness the San Francisco tribute, or any other city shining red this evening in honor of World AIDS Day, leave a comment and let us know how you city recognized this important and great cause.

Project Red has already generated approximately $140 million for the global AIDS fund. For more information on the project, click here.
