Roosevelt Hotel Launches “Name Our Bar” Contest
by Alison Agudo
The Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan has just announced plans to unveil an addition bar for guests and locals to enjoy which is set to open in early 2010. The hotel is also encouraging guests and friends to submit suggestions on a perfect name for the new bar in their “Name Our Bar” contest.
The Roosevelt Hotel is located at the corner of Madison and 45th and they will be welcoming guests and locals to their new bar in early 2010—the only catch is the bar needs a name, and they want you to be involved.
In conjunction with the upcoming bar opening, the hotel is launching a “Name Our Bar” contest which encourages guests and friends of the hotel to submit their suggestions on a perfect name for the new bar. The contest started on November 25 and will go through December 14, 2009.
Participants are asked to submit their most creative and fitting ideas on the hotel’s blog. The lucky winner will not only have exclusive bragging rights, but they will also be a special VIP guest at the bar’s Grand Opening party, where his or her name will honorably be inscribed in a bar stool.
The winner of the contest will also receive a two-night stay for two people in a suite at the luxury hotel, including daily breakfast at the Roosevelt Grill and a pair of tickets to one of New York’s hottest Broadway shows. Sounds like a win-win situation to me—all you have to do is be creative, submit your idea and then enjoy the results!
The newly named bar will offer a relaxed environment for locals, located just steps away from Grand Central Station. In addition to a full bar, the new space will feature a wide variety of beers on tap, as well as a menu offering light assortment of palate-pleasing treats. In addition to being accessible directly through the hotel, visitors can access the bar through a separate Vanderbilt Avenue entrance.
Happy naming!
