Pamela Anderson to Grace the Annual Make-a-Wish Foundation Ball
by Alison Agudo
Baywatch beauty, Pamela Anderson, is not only known for her low (and high) cut red bathing suit. The actress is also known to be heavily involved in many charitable foundations including PETA and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Last month, Anderson strutted down the runway during the South Beach Fashion Week at The Setai Hotel and on November 7, 2009 she will be returning to Miami to attend well-known entrepreneur Al Malnik’s 15th annual Make-a-Wish-Foundation Ball at the Intercontinental Hotel. This glamorous event will feature dinner, drinks, dancing, and the chance to bid on fantasy items and experiences in the Ball’s Live & Silent Auctions.
Last year, the event drew in more than 800 of South Florida’s most infamous locals, fashionistas, business leaders, philanthropists, socialites, and jet setters; and this year is expected to be no different in terms of high-powered attendees. Governor Charlie Crist returns as the event’s guest of honor.
Over the past 14 years, the Ball has raised an impressive $7.6 million which went towards granting the heartfelt wishes of 1,700 children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions.
