Nikki Beach Makes Miami Look Better Naked
by Alison Agudo

Miami Beach had one thing on its mind on the evening of November 7: Look Better Naked.

“What Women Want” is a unique concept spread out over a series of fashion events on the first Saturday of each month, and to kick off the guilty pleasure, popular luxury lifestyle entertainment group and lounge/club, Nikki Beach, hosted the “Look Better Naked” fashion shows featuring ANK by Mirla Sabino and Salinas Swimwear, presented by David Barton Gym.

Throngs of beautiful people, including fashionistas, trendsetters, and influential elite, congregated around the runway, situated on Nikki Beach’s outdoor seating/bedded area on the beach, in anticipation of an extremely haute evening. With the breeze from Hurricane Ida being the only thing cooling the evening’s sizzling ambience, guests enjoyed champagne, sweets, and shopping.

The evening began at 6pm with a meet and greet hosted by ANK’s Sabino and a Lamborghini VIP lounge hosted by Prestige Imports before 7pm rolled around and guests indulged in complimentary Ice-Tropez champagne, mini cupcakes from Cupcakes Nouveau, cake from Creative Cake Factory, fruit sushi, and chocolates. Pop-up boutiques were featured by Salinas Swimwear, ANK by Mirla Sabino, Godiva, and Melissa Plastic Dreams and mini manicures were also offered by O.P.I.

At 10pm, Nikki Beach was buzzing with full-swing fashion anticipation and at the sound of two revving Lamborghini engines entering the beach from behind the crowd, the fashion show was under way. Guests cheered in exhilaration as models strutted the runway in delightfully seductive bathing suits and heels–making the evening truly about what women, and men, want. In between the two swimwear collections, a fire dancer entertained the crowd and the designers did an appreciative walk-around with models at the end of each show to the sound of cheers and applause from the enchanted audience. A fashion show after party ensued upstairs at Club Nikki at 11pm with an open bar until midnight, capping off the successful evening.

All in all it was a fantastic display of what Miami is all about—having fun and looking great. David Barton and everyone involved can rest assured that as guests left the show they certainly got what they wanted and are energized to look better naked. Mission accomplished.
