Michelle Obama Celebrates Sesame Street’s 40th Birthday
This year, Sesame Street is turning 40, but Elmo hasn’t aged a day. To celebrate,Michelle Obama will be appear on the show’s premiere on November 10th. The episode will focus on healthy eating and growing vegetable gardens.
For a sneak peak of the First Lady’s episode, see the PSA she and Elmo filmed this spring. Nothing against veggies, but I personally love this clip of Cookie Monster teaching Susan Sarandon how to eat a cookie.
This season, the show has a star-studded line up of guests including Cameron Diaz, Hugh Jackman, Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Fallon and two Gyllenhalls for the price of one. Here’s to 40 more years of sunny days!

First Lady Michelle Obama will be visiting South Florida on Thursday, Oct. 27 to raise money for President Obama’s re-election effort. Joining her in the cause will be U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Tracy Mourning, the wife of Miami Heat legend Alonzo Mourning.
