I don’t know about you, but I love Thanksgiving. The rich autumn colors, the fantastic food, and the general sentiments that make the holiday so heart-warming. And did I mention the fantastic food? Yet somehow, the holiday I’m so thankful for seems to get sidelined between the hype of Halloween and the chaos of people planning Christmas. But I refuse to sideline the delicious holiday this year; so grab your turkey basters because Thanksgiving is getting some haute attention this year.

If you happen to live in Miami, then you know that it is sometime very difficult to get into any winter holiday spirit as you slap on your sunscreen and smack the pavement with your year-round flip flops. And sometimes it’s even more difficult to slave all day around the kitchen and prepare a meal your friends and family may devour before you can even sit down. If you need a holiday mood-booster, or even a place to cook the meal for you, keep reading. Here’s a little list of some great Miami places to hit up for Thanksgiving dinner this November 26.

To start things off I recommend enjoying your Thanksgiving dinner at one of my favorite Miami Beach Hotels, The Setai Hotel. The beautiful Asian-inspired boutique hotel is serving up an elegant Thanksgiving dinner at The Restaurant, located behind the lobby where guests can also enjoy a culinary journey through India, Singapore, Thailand, China and Malaysia. The Restaurant will be offering their special Thanksgiving dinner menu for $75 (with a vegetarian option available for $68).

Next up is the Thanksgiving dinner menu offered at BLT located in The Betsy Hotel on Ocean Drive. Available from 2pm to 9pm on November 26, BLT is offering a menu with delicious options such as butternut squash soup, wild mushroom risotto, or endive salad for starters; organic turkey, roasted prime rib of beef, or seared Scottish salmon for the entrée; and chocolate tart, hazelnut-pumpkin pie, or warm apple pie for dessert. The menu is $68 per person.

If you happen to prefer the holiday vibes that tend to fill Lincoln Road, then head over to Meat Market for their Thanksgiving dinner and some great people watching. Unlike the other suggestions, Meat Market is not offering a prix fixe menu, but rather their Thanksgiving dishes have a set price. Meat Market is offering a pumpkin bisque soup with goat cheese and pheasant confit raviolis ($12) as its first course, a choice between organic turkey stuffed with brioche and spicy sausage with sweet potato flan ($27) or a Thanksgiving mixed grill made up of marinated wood grilled turkey breast with banana and mole, wood grilled lamb chop with wild mushroom sauce, and wagyu skirt steak with sage roasted garlic ($34) for the main course; and for dessert there is a deconstructed Jack Daniels pecan pie with bittersweet chocolate ($12). The menu is offered from 5pm to midnight on November 26.

At Au Pied De Cochon, hungry diners can enjoy a prix fixe menu for $55 a person between noon and 2am and diners will enjoy a complimentary glass of Georges DuBoeuf Beaujolais Nouveau to accompany their meal. The Thanksgiving menu consists of a creamy roasted butternut squash soup au croute for the first course; a choice between free range stuffed turkey breast, roasted salsify and truffle mashed potato, or pan seared trout, pumpkin seeds beurre blanc and pomme lemon confit for the main course; and for dessert a hot and cold pear caramel duo.

Providing an extremely traditional Thanksgiving menu is WISH at The Hotel located on 8th and Collins Avenue. The first course is a butternut squash soup, the main course is a roasted turkey breast, and for dessert diners can enjoy a piece of warm pumpkin pie. The menu is also more affordable than the others, with a prix fixe at $45 per person.

Finally, another option this Thanksgiving in Miami is Talula which is offering a menu from 3pm to 9pm and priced at $75 for two with a charge of $38 per additional guest (complete party must order Thanksgiving dinner for these prices). The price includes turkey with trimmings, a choice of five sides, and one dessert. Talula also provides a special price for children 12 years old and young at $20, while children under 5 years old eat for free.
