Kendall-Jackson Offers Slice of Wine Heaven
by Sarah Locke

The new offering from Kendall-Jackson surely has vino lovers everywhere raising their glasses in excitement. The popular, longstanding wine company is now offering a very personalized service to its dedicated followers. Though the service appropriately comes just in time for the holidays, the tailored service makes for an incredible gift any time of the year. If you’re a true grape aficionado, at this point, Kendall-Jackson will probably be more so like a god in your book of all things miraculous. A good harvest and a good grape, resulting in flawless wine can do wondrous things for the soul.

So if you’ve got an extra $30,000 to spend and three days to spare, Kendall-Jackson winemaster Randy Ullom will be, almost quite literally, your right-hand man, serving you up extensive tastings to tweak your palette. After researching your preferences, Ullom will help you create a custom blend that also fits accordingly to your personality. Yes, different wines take on personalities of their own, don’t be so shocked. Think about it-can you imagine a dainty, soft-spoken character throwing back glasses of a dark Cabernet blend? It just doesn’t seem to fit, and with good reason. So whether your tastes are for a bold, brash, deep Merlot, a bold yet somewhat gentler Petit Syrah, or a crisp and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc, Ullom will help you fine-tune your preferences and make that connection. After your perfect blend has been created, you’ll receive 12 cases of your own personalized wine, all with personalized labels. Charity will also receive a portion of the proceeds, making this once-in-a-lifetime offering even harder to pass up.

For a little slice of heaven nothing beats a spa day, unless it’s a spa weekend at the Terranea. The Southern Californian resort overlooks the Pacific Ocean and the Palos Verdes coastline, and the idyllic view is always present, even from the spa rooms.

While pizza by the slice is certainly not what Chicago’s known for (as you can’t exactly get a single serving of deep dish), when push comes to shove, we can give New York style a run for their money when we have to. NYC, eat your heart out. Literally.
