Head to Germany for A Bullet-Proof Porsche
by Alison Agudo
Have you ever driven around in your Porsche and thought to yourself, “Hmm, if only this car was armored…” Well, for anyone out there who may need a little bit of luxury protection, this may be the car for you.
All you have to do is fly on over to Frankfurt, Germany and fork up a pretty $450,000. An armored Porsche Panamera Turbo has just been listed for sale on the global luxury online market place, Jameslist. The incredibly safe and luxurious car features armored steel in the doors, posts, overlaps, and walls. But the protection doesn’t end there. Drivers are also sheltered by ballistic steel placed in the roof and floor of the car, and surrounded by bulletproof glass, just in case someone has good aim, I suppose. There is also an armored battery and radiator protection.
The amazing car is capable of stopping 9mm rounds, as well as an assault from a M16 or even a .44 Magnum. You’d think that all of these added security measures would in some way hamper the impressive performance of the luxury car, but you’re wrong—it purrs just like a Porsche should.
I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure my father, who has always told me “Safety first!” would certainly approve of me driving one of these bad boys. Now if only he’d loan me $450,000….
