Haute Choice: Bentley Continental GT Speed vs. Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S
by Alison Agudo

Tough decisions, easy decisions; we make choices every day, often not even realizing that we’re making a choice but rather unconsciously acting on a preference. Choices impact our business lives and our personal lives, and to give you a break from, what I assume to be very hectic, business hours in your day, a weekly blog posting will now be dedicated to helping you make some more enjoyable and personal haute choices.

This week we begin with two speedsters that can make any trip to the store or to the office just about as pleasurable as can be. Introducing the Bentley Continental GT Speed and the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S. These two luxurious cars may look similar to an untrained eye, but if you look a little closer, you’ll realize that their individual greatness is in their details.

The Bentley Continental GT Sport is a truly inspiring model that incorporates all of the traditional elegance and power of the Bentley brand with greater agility and body control as well as seductively enhanced sporting character. As the first Bentley ever to be made that can reach a top speed of 200 mph, the Continental GT Sport is extraordinarily powerful without compromising any of its comfort, style, or space. Delivering performance figures of 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds, the Continental GT Sport features discrete braking, cornering and traction functions that mesh together to provide precise and immediate driving control under extreme or difficult conditions.

The Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S, on the other hand may lack a bit of the Bentley’s luxuriously spacious feel, but it certainly makes up for that in its sporty appeal and sleek design. Maserati cars are also known for their style and elegance, and the Quattroporte Sport GT S just makes that same style and elegance zoom past you a little (ok, a lot) faster. On the exterior the redesigned grill and bumper accentuate its impact upon first impression, and the car’s lowered stance and the shape of the body below the doors lends to a more purposeful look. Giving the impression that this power-car is poised and ready for action, the car exudes speed even when it is stationary. When it’s not stationary, however, the car can reach a top speed of 176 mph, far surpassing the Bentley Continental GT Sport.
