Living in a land of luxury often means environmentally-friendly living goes out the door—especially with large, high smog-emitting, high-end vehicles being so common in the US. However, with national (and global) environmental awareness growing exponentially, some organizations are figuring out how to make the good life green, so everyone is happy.

Ahead of the game is an intriguing collaboration between luxury car maker, Lexus, and The San Francisco and Washington DC Fairmont Hotels. In San Francisco, customers are offered an Eco-Chic package which features a three-night deal for two in San Francisco in a special Lexus Hybrid Living Suite that is decked out with organic or sustainable materials. The package also offers the use of the 2009 Lexus LH 600H Hybrid sedan, organic wine, and passes to three local green wineries in Napa.

Over in Washington DC, the Eco-Chic Package features a two-night stay for four people, including Living Suite accommodations, use of the same Lexus Hybrid sedan, organic wine upon arrival, $150 in hotel dining credits, and a $100 donation to the National Geographic Society.

While obtaining the eco-friendly package may be somewhat less straight forward than the luxury-going-green concept (websites indicate “auction” type tickets and “buy now” forms), guests will be paying a pretty price to be a part of the Eco-Chic package and the underlining message of remaining luxurious yet eco-friendly is truly priceless.
