Calendar Listing New York: Concert for Autism

Hosted by NBC’s Meet the Press moderator, David Gregory, this year’s Concert for Autism event took place at Carnegie Hall on November 17 and featured comedian Jerry Seinfeld with a guest appearance by Grammy winner Bruce Springsteen. The evening benefitted families and individuals around the world who live with autism by supporting research, awareness, and family services initiatives.

WHO: NBC’s Meet the Press moderator David Gregory hosted the Concert for Autism event at Carnegie Hall. The event featured comedian Jerry Seinfeld and singer Bruce Springsteen.

WHAT: The Concert for Autism was an evening dedicated to helping supports the global need for awareness, research, and family services for individuals and families who are faced with autism. The event was held in the renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City and raised nearly 1.7 million in support for autism. Springsteen performed “If I should Fall Behind” and dedicated it to all the parents of kids with autism in the audience, and Seinfeld’s jokes had the crowd roaring with laughter. Attendees included Donald and Melania Trump, Martha Stewart, Howard Stern, Josh Brolin, Matt Lauer, Mariska Hargitay, and approximately 3,000 other guests.

HOW: Ticketed event. Event sponsorship included entry to a VIP reception prior to the concert, and preferred seating in Carnegie Hall.
