An Enduring Vision for an Important Cause
by Sarah Locke
Last night’s Enduring Vision Benefit successfully raised awareness and funds for the Elton John Aids Foundation, an organization that supports innovative HIV prevention programs, efforts to eliminate stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS, and care and support services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Among the guests who attended the benefit honoring Sharon Stone, Bill Clinton, Evelyn and Leonard Lauder, and Lily Safra, were Gina Gershon, Daniel Craig, and a super fit Courtney Love who looked fabulous in a slim-fitting black ensemble. The event was held at Cipriani Wall Street, with ticket prices for admission starting at $2,500 and tables going for a pricey, but worth every penny, $25,000. The benefit included a lavish dinner and auction, and an incredible performance by legendary artist Donna Summer. All in all the event was a huge success, accomplishing exactly what Sir Elton John and everyone else involved with the foundation set out to do-raise awareness and accumulate the necessary funds to support the cause tenfold.
