During October the fashion world is hosting the Funkshion Fashion Week in the hautest place on earth—Miami.  With Funkshion Fashion Week events beginning October 14, the schedule is quickly filling up, and Miami is ready, adding just a few finishing touches.  Runways are making their way into the Setai Hotel and BASS museum of Art and will be showcasing collections as well as some fun celebrities — Richie Rich, Pamela Anderson, Nicole Miller, Abi Ferrin, and Custo Barcelona to name a few.

The Red Dress Fashion show, held on October 15, is definitely going to be a highlight of the week. Benefitting the American Heart Association and Go Red for Women, a movement to educate women about heart disease, the show will include red dresses from designers such as Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Nicole Miller, Richie Rich, and Badgley Mishka.  In true Miami fashion, the red dress fashion show will also feature a red swimwear line by Jantzen.

Although Miami’s weather may be cooling down, its fashion is always haute—so mark your calendars and get ready for the Funkshion Fashion Week Miami.
