Hotel Indigo Opens in Chelsea
by Alison Agudo
The Hotel Indigo in Chelsea has officially opened, meaning that Chelsea now has a brand new luxury destination for anyone looking to catch some of that elusive slumber in a city that never sleeps.
Haute Living recently reported about a scheduled Hotel Indigo opening in Hong Kong, however, located on West 28th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, the Chelsea location of the brand is the first to be opened in New York. Also making it stand out from the crowd of hotels opening in the Big Apple, the Hotel Indigo in Chelsea actually opened a few months ahead of schedule—an event rarely seen in the industry.
Featuring a fresh and organic design, the hotel is an elegant oasis of simple balance, warm service, and incomparable downtown New York prices. At the epicenter of New York entertainment, fashion, and culture, the hotel is surrounded by rows of art galleries, the best in fine dining and nightlife, theaters, and chic boutiques, making it an ideal setting for anyone looking for a refined and relaxed New York experience.
The hotel has 122 guestrooms, including two gorgeous penthouse suites, all which feature 32-inch flat screen HD TVs, hardwood floors, spa-like bathrooms, Aveda toiletries, custom-designed furniture, and free WiFi. Combining a personalized boutique atmosphere with the amenities of an upscale hotel, the Hotel Indigo in Chelsea also features a rooftop lounge, the Glass Bar, and an American-bistro style restaurant called Blu.
There is an opening rate right now which is set at $249 per night on the hotel’s website. So head on over to Chelsea and allow yourself to escape into a deluxe haven under the Manhattan sky.
