Happy hour just got a little happier. Not only can you blow off steam after a long day at the office at one of Santa Monica’s hautest spots, but you can dabble in a little philanthropy for a great cause as well. Thank the new Cocktails for a Cause benefit at the Viceroy Santa Monica’s Whist restaurant for your guilt-free consumption, an event which will take place every Tuesday from 6:00pm-9:00pm throughout the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Just order a “Strawberry Vice” cocktail, a $10 investment, and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Beautiful Day Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and providing education, support and literature about the risks of breast cancer to young women.

Not a fan of the “Strawberry Vice”? All proceeds from their Specialty Cocktail List will go to The Noreen Fraser Foundation, an organization that raises funds for research aimed at developing new prevention methods, diagnostic tools and non-toxic therapies to treat women’s cancers. So it’s basically a win-win situation either way. You get a buzz and cancer research gets a boost.  How many of your other vices contribute to something so positive?
