Haute Living Los Angeles March/April 2012
Behind the Scenes
by Kelsey Karp

Haute Living photographer Steven B. Ekerovich was on hand at this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2010, which took place from September 10 to 19, 2009. For nine straight days, the tents in Bryant Park once again became the epicenter of the fashion world, as crowd pleasers like Calvin Klein, Caroline Herrera, Diane von Furstenberg, and Donna Karan showed their collections to a crowd that was buzzing with anticipation and laden with A-list celebrities. It’s Steve’s opinion that designer Cho Cheng’s eponymous label CHOCHENG was certainly a scene-stealer; his couture-inspired line drew audible gasps from the crowd when the Tiffany-box inspired blue gown made its way down the runway. Steve brings us not only the hautest fashions to hit the catwalk, but also a look at what happens backstage as the models and designers prepare for their time in the spotlight. On these pages you will find but a mere glimpse of the glamour of New York’s Fashion Week that Steve captured, so for more of the inside scoop, head to HauteLiving.com.
