This is the little black dress like you’ve never seen it before. Ella Bella Rozio, the innovative mother-daughter design team behind the revamped creation, introduced their economic “New Couture Look”, the Ella1Dress, to a crowd of expectant fashionistas Friday at the Eden Roc for the continuation of ROCK Fashion Week Miami.

“Every woman needs a basic black dress, so we came up with one dress that could transform into infinite looks,” said Rocio Sanchez, the designer for Rozio Couture, a family owned and operated design house established in 1983 that she runs with her two children, partner designer Gabriella Tello and Business Marketing Director Fernando Tello. “We were throwing ideas around on how we could come up with a dress that could still be couture and for day, but it’s just one dress so you don’t have to spend so much money.”

The recession-friendly dress, priced at only $110 and made of contouring fabric to keep it together in all the right places, is wrinkle-free and allows you to create a variety of different looks for every season with detachable garment pieces made of jersey, vibrant silk colors, taffeta, lace, chiffon, sequence and organza.

A procession of Deco Models hit the runway to house music, the black dress like a blank canvas for the splashes of color that uniquely bedecked each one in stark shades of red, fuchsia, royal blue, turquoise, hot pink, white and yellow. From white collar dress shirt attachments to goth-inspired ballerina tulle skirts, feathers with diamond adornments, lace corsets, silver sequined cover-ups and red haute Latin-inspired off the shoulder wraps, the versatility of its design makes it easy to transition from the office to the red carpet with just a few quick snaps and hooks. Plus, the dress is available in a short and long version so you can adjust the sexiness factor as you see fit.

In addition to combining 25 years of experience to run their successful couture house, Rocio and Gabriella (better known as Ella) are also owners and directors of the Institute of Fashion, a school for students ages 6 to 18 to learn the ropes of designing, constructing, and modeling their own line. To date, they have educated over 500 IOF Young Designers of America.

Currently in the works for the dynamic, fashion forward family is a bridal couture line.
