Morton’s Comes to Miami Beach
by Stephanie Wilson

Morton’s The Steakhouse will open its newest location in Miami Beach at 4041 Collins Ave. in The Crown at Miami Beach, a luxurious oceanfront residential high-rise tower at the intersection of 40th Street and Collins Avenue.  The restaurant, Morton’s 78th steakhouse worldwide and the seventh South Florida location, opens on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009.

Renowned from coast to coast for its signature menu and legendary hospitality, the Miami Beach Morton’s will continue to follow the company’s tradition of serving only the finest quality foods, featuring USDA prime aged, grain-fed beef, fresh fish and seafood, choice produce and a selection of delicious appetizers and elegant desserts – prepared to perfection and served in a lively atmosphere.

The restaurant’s elegant interior will be reminiscent of a private club with rich mahogany paneling, leather banquettes, white tablecloths, brass appointments and subdued lighting.  The main dining room seats up to 135 guests.  Walls will be adorned with celebrity photographs and colorful LeRoy Nieman serigraphs and prints.  Lavish food and wine displays, and the trademark exhibition kitchen where guests can watch the expert food preparation, complete the distinctive Morton’s ambiance.

Adjacent to the dining room will be Bar 12•21, Morton’s new and exciting bar with seating for dining, plasma screen televisions, a special Bar Bites menu and the best top-shelf libations available, including the Heavenly Mortini’s ™.  The restaurant also will feature a 1,000 square-foot outdoor patio with seating for approximately 36 guests.

Morton’s features an exclusive Boardroom, which can accommodate as many as 65 people and can be divided into two smaller private dining rooms.  The elegantly appointed Boardroom is available for business and social functions where guests can select from a variety of menu options and receive impeccable service, as in the main dining room.  Morton’s Boardroom also offers a state-of-the-art, high-technology digital theater.

Additionally, the new Miami Beach Morton’s will feature a glass encased, temperature-controlled wine room complete with more than 220 premium labels.
