Jonathan Eismann, the man behind Miami institution Pacific Time, which was originally located on Lincoln Road before moving to the Design District last year, has always been on the forefront of the industry. He knows what it takes to get a restaurant packed: good food, great atmosphere, and delicious libations. On Tuesdays, Miamians can now take advantage of his industry know-how through the innovative new cocktail & dinner party that pays homage to Facebook and Twitter.
On Tuesday, September 29, from 8 p.m. to midnight, Pacific Time will throw its first “About Last Night” soiree, bringing foodies, bloggers and social networking butterflies together for a supper-club-meets-Gossip Girl kind of night. Paps – both professional and amateur – will capture shots for guests to later discover on the Pacific Time Facebook page, bringing an interactive element to the party. Friends and Fans of the page can scroll through the “Morning After” online album, tagging themselves in photos and becoming new friends of the people they met “last night.” Tweeting and Facebook status updates are highly encouraged throughout the night, while weekly polls and topic discussions based on the Tuesday night gatherings will stir up commentary on favorite couples, best-dressed attendees and the weekly happenings.
The debut of “About Last Night” calls upon hip husband and wife duo Sean Drake and Michelle Leshem to serve as guest hosts for the introduction of the soiree. A selection of Miami Who’s Who will also join the host roster for the coming weeks. Guests will enjoy ear candy by DJ Riche “Boom” Stanley, complimentary signature dishes from chef Brian Bell’s small plates menu and Cosmos, lychee martinis and Monk in the Trunk draft beers from 8 to 9 p.m.
