The glamorous Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, New York philanthropist and co-owner of The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach hosted a magical evening at the hotel to celebrate Miami phenomenon Esteban Cortazar’s new role as Ungaro’s head designer and involvement with the Colombia BeLive gala. The intimate dinner of just 50 people drew friends including General Manager Timur Senturk, Diego & Gisela Lowenstein, Juan-Pablo Montoya, Candela Ferro, Kika Rocha, Katherine Siachoque, Adriana Lucia, Giselle Blondet and Angela Maria Tafur, who glittered in designer frocks and dined under the stars at the hotel’s stunning Bistro One LR terrace. The hand-picked luminaries were served an exquisite gourmet meal orchestrated to perfection by a synchronized, tuxedoed staff. Guests were illuminated by the royal table setting, which was draped with apple green linens and adorned with fifty glass vases filled with wheatgrass clusters, exotic arabicum and green cymbidium orchid blooms. Glass cylinders with submerged white orchids topped with floating candles accented the base of the centerpiece to create an elegant ambiance with a touch of Miami flair.
