Polaroid Pad Where Lohan and Hilton Raged On Block

Malibu’s Polaroid Beach House, where gaggles of celebutantes like La La Lohan and Paris strutted and slobbered their stuff all over the pristine and exclusive environs, has been pooch-kicked onto the market for a diva-like price tag of $32 million. As a result of the endless summer 24-sevens that drove the fully loaded, simple-life seeking neighbors bananas, supposedly the Malibu city council’s recent crackdown on the stalkerazzi is the central reason behind Polaroid ditching their corporate party home. In case you didn’t realize, the company utilized the place as one of the all-time greatest covert celebrity marketing campaigns, and a distinctively low-key departure from the usual “gifting houses.” Hollywood’s hottest scenesters, like Jeremy Piven, Mischa Barton, Nick Cannon, Luke Wilson, and Molly Sims, lounged on furniture from Restoration Hardware, protected their skin with sunscreen from Dermalogica and, after a quick dip in the Pacific, showered and shampooed with Alterna products (the company’s top stylist was even on hand to give celebrity tresses a quick touchup.) They dried off with fluffy towels provided by Amazon.com and kicked back in comfy sweats from Victoria’s Secret Pink. Basically, the party house was all about product placement. So much so, in fact, that even the paps were a necessary part of the equation-they were provided with a daily list of celeb guests and corresponding sponsors. Found at 21942 PCH, the four bed, five bath place comes with 80 feet of prime beach frontage and approved plans to build a 6000 square-foot house with a pool on a double-wide lot smack dab in the middle of Billionaire’s Beach, one of the most coveted seashore tracts in the world. So you’d be lounging with the Carbon beach elite, as well as the ghosts of clambakes past. Brett Esformes of Pritchett-Rapf, Malibu, is the listing agent.
