The Art of Placement is changing the face of Florida’s interior decorating scene. Founder and owner Nancy Feldman, who established the firm in 1997, designed and converted hundreds of apartments and condominiums for re-sale before moving to Florida 20 years ago. Hailing from Boston, she brought to the table a background rich in decorating and interior arrangement. Her philosophy is that proper placement and attention to architectural detail are the keys to creating beautiful living environments, which certainly shows through in the unique spaces they create.

Beginning with the individual tastes of their clients, the designers at the Art of Placement use their combined natural sense of imagination and experience to come up with the perfect recipe for each interior. Two-hour decorating consultations, one-day makeovers, and staging homes for sale as well as 48-hour move ins and creative renovations are just some of their areas in which they specialize. Before delving into the luxurious world of The Art of Placement, the first step is usually a client meeting either on site, in the office or long-distance to discuss your needs, expectations, and scope of the job. “We’re very adept at listening and then turning someone’s dream into reality! My years in Florida have enabled me to put together an incredibly well rounded team of Artisans including G.C.’s Architects, Custom Furniture and Window Treatment Specialists, Faux Painters and more. We project manage everything from conception to installation.”

Countless publications rave about Nancy’s work, and for good reason; she is also renowned as a visual coordinator and has supplied her expertise to such shows as NBC/WPTV’s affiliate television programs The Design Patrol and Designing Made Easy. Nancy and her company have also been featured on Miami television show Deco Drive many times.

The Art of Placement, Inc. is changing the world of interior decorating by offering fresh design solutions that breathe life into any new interior. Their approach is unique. “Nothing is ordinary and every one of our projects is unique to each client,” explains Feldman. “We love to get to know our clients and translate what they love into their new space. The Art of Placement, Inc. does not have a signature look.

“We’ve managed projects for clients from Canada, Brazil, and all over Europe and the U.S. as well as our native Floridians,” says Feldman. “One of our current projects is a total tear down and rebuild of a property in Hollywood, Florida. My clients are from Boston, and they inherited the property that they envision as a family compound for generations to come. There are bamboo floors with matching steel stair railings that look like bamboo. We’ve had custom chandeliers manufactured that are covered with shells and crystals. It even has a spectacular mirrored temple bed that’s smashing.” Another large project that the team is currently working on is a $4 million oceanfront condo in Miami, for a client whose primary residence is in Europe. “We accomplish a lot via email, Fedex, and fax,” she laughs.

Whether they’re helping a valued client move into a new space, redesigning a current space, or consulting on the focus or direction of an interior, The Art of Placement’s team of specialists are there to serve their customers’ every whim, so that they walk away completely satisfied.
