Chanel J12 Automatic By Audemars Piguet
by HauteLiving

Valentine’s Day is around the corner boys. And if it’s bling your sweetheart’s in the market for, Jacob Arabo (aka Jacob the Jeweler) has always been your man. But if she’s grown weary of flashy flash and she’s in the market for something a little more classic and less, well, in-your-face, look no further than Chanel.
Chanel has joined forces with prestigious watchmaker Audemars Piguet, who dates back to 1875, for their latest J12 collection. So what makes the Audemars Piguet brand so special that it caught the eye of Karl Lagerfeld? Possibly the fact that this company is still the world’s oldest watch manufacturer never to have left the hands of its original founding families. And as the Chanel brand continually reinvents classic pieces created more than 75 years ago by founder Coco Chanel, this is certainly an obvious amalgamation. Not to mention an obvious gift for just about any deserving girl.
Up until now, Chanel has used modified ETA movements for their watches but will now use specially made Audemars Piguet movements. The new J12 Automatic is made of ceramic and eighteen karat gold and the watch uses the Audemars Piguet Caliber AP3125 Movement. The new Chanel J12 collection will be available for purchase later this year. But until then, you’ll have to get out your shades to admire her last year’s extra sparkly V-Day gift.
