London, New York, Moscow Are Most Expensive Cities

Surprise, surprise, surprise. In case you haven’t been traveling the world—or, at very least, reading Haute Living Magazine and the Haute Blog—it appears that London, Moscow, and our very own New York City (specifically, Manhattan) AGAIN are topping the list of the most expensive cities in the world.

London (Prime Central London) won in a landslide victory, with prices that are more than 50 percent greater than New York, which came in second, and Moscow, which trailed ever so slightly in third. Of impressive note, no other city in the entire United States other than New York made the list, which comprises more than 40 cities worldwide.

Rounding out the top ten were London (excluding Prime Central), Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Mumbai, andBarcelona. Surprisingly just outside the top ten were Geneva, Dubai, and Berlin, among others.

If there is one trend that appears constant, it is that New York, London, and Moscow appear to be the Holy Trinity of real estate investment—for the year 2008 and beyond.
