The list only includes homes and apartments, not whole apartment buildings or expensive plots of land. Topping the list is a $165 million estate in where else? Beverly Hills. Sitting on only 6 acres of land, the 75,000-square-foot house, once owned by newspaper mogul William Randolf Hearst, has 29 bedrooms and 40 bathrooms.

To catch a glimpse of the world’s second most expensive estate, hop in your Falcon 7X and head to Brasov, Romania, home to the $140 million Bran Castle. One home to prince Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for Count Dracula, this 17-bedroom castle, built in 1212, sits on 20 acres.
