Shaq’s deal with Audemars Piguet is a slam dunk

NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal, who has a flair for giving himself larger-than-life nicknames, might want to add a new one to his arsenal:

The Big Watch Ambassador.

O’Neal, no stranger to team chemistry and a winning tradition, has found the perfect teammate in world-famous jeweler and watchmaker Audemars Piguet. The company, which is the world’s oldest manufacture to still be owned and operated by its founding families, has a tradition of excellence and versatility that goes hand-in-hand with the marketability and winning aura that O’Neal naturally carries on his 7-foot-1, 340-pound frame.

O’Neal’s signature Audemars Piguet watch, The Royal Oat Offshore Shaquille O’Neal Chronograph, is produced in an extremely limited quantity – 96 timepieces, to be exact – and as such, it’s only natural that each and every one of the white gold, diamond, and ruby-encrusted timepiece has been snatched up this far, at the well-worth-it asking price of $71,000. Audemars Piguet also will produce 960 stainless steel models, at a more reasonable price of $26,000, and with Shaq’s giant stamp of approval, they should be off the market in no time, as well.

What else would you expect from The Big Watch Ambassador?
