London’s 2nd Largest Private Residence has been Sold
Witanhurst, the largest private residence in London after Buckingham Palace, was sold to developer, Marcus Cooper, for an estimated £32 million (about $44.1 M). The Cooper Group plans to flip the property into a £150 million residence. A price that will surpass the current most expensive house in London, Updown Court in Windlesham, presently priced at £75 million.
Witanhurst, is a 5½-acres neo-Georgian property used for BBC’S Fame Academy, and other major motion picture works. The Mansion is 40,000 sq ft, contains 25 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a library, gym, and sauna. Set on three floors, the house captures some of the most exceptional views in London.
“We are planning to carry out major renovation and redevelopment to create London’s first £150 million estate. We will be working with architects and interior designers to create a bespoke and outstanding residence in the middle of Highgate, including all the amenities one would expect.” Explains mega-developer, Marcus Cooper.
